FrostWalker - Jesus Mode
Summary
Describe your suggestion in detail.
My suggestion would be to add an option or mechanic that mimics frostwalker but does not turn the water beneath you to ice. This would have a custom friction value and a custom timer for when you would fall through the water. I have seen an influx of people making water vehicles, and it is hard to make a light-weight way to make those water vehicles function like floating boats. This "Jesus walker" version of frostwalker would allow mobs or players to glide on top of water (I know there is the float option but you still bob up and down with that).
Usage
Describe how your suggestion would be used.
For people who have made boats or water vehicles that need a light-weight way of gliding across the top of water. Yes there is a boat type mob but that is extremely buggy, makes your mob break on one hit despite hp, and the turning of the boat model doesn't track with your own custom ones (plus the vanilla boat model remains in no matter what).
Value
Describe what value your suggestion adds to the project.
The value of adding this feature would be that it would open the door wide open for hundreds if not thousands of new ways to make vehicles made with mythic mobs function. Since vanilla boat models in minecraft are hard-coded, water vehicles are quite hard to make in a way that is not harsh on the server or buggy. Imagine sailboats being able to actual sail without bugs, or a sub-marine that can swap between submerging and sailing, the friction of the ice movement also makes vehicle turning more immersive because you have to account for you velocity when turning on ice same as when boats make turns irl.
Priority
Describe what priority you think this suggestion should have and why.
If this is possible, I think it should be TOP priority and that players will use the function right away.
Implementation
Describe how you think your suggestion should be implemented.
As a skill, option, or skill mechanic you can add to a mob. Even better if you can customize the friction.
