The account keeps following people I haven't followed

My Instagram account keeps following friends of friends I already follow, even though I didn't ask for it, and it's really confusing to me: is someone else using my account? When I log in to the account, it only shows my phone and laptop, so I don't understand why. I haven't logged in anywhere else either, so I don't understand how this is happening.
